My AI Curator ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a browser extension that collects your browsing interests locally on your device and uses them to personalize your Bluesky and Mastodon feeds.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. We are committed to protecting your privacy — it is the core principle of everything we build.

2. What Data We Collect

The My AI Curator extension collects the following data locally on your device only:

• Google search queries (search keywords only)
• YouTube video titles and channel names
• Amazon and eBay product search keywords
• Netflix content titles and search terms
• Spotify track names and artist names
• Twitch channel names and game categories

3. How We Store Your Data

All data collected by the extension is stored exclusively using chrome.storage.local — a secure storage area built into your browser that only the extension can access.

No data is ever transmitted to our servers, third-party servers, or any external service. Your interest data never leaves your device.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your locally stored data is used solely to:

• Automatically identify your interests and topics
• Filter and personalize your Bluesky and Mastodon feeds
• Display recently collected data in the extension popup

When you visit my-curator.vercel.app, the web app reads your locally stored interests directly from your browser storage. This communication happens entirely within your browser — no data is sent over the network.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your data with any third party — because we never have access to your data in the first place.

My AI Curator does not use any analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools within the extension itself.

6. Your Right to Delete Your Data

You can delete all collected data at any time:

• Click the My AI Curator extension icon in your browser
• Click "Clear all collected data"
• All locally stored data is immediately and permanently deleted

You can also uninstall the extension at any time. Uninstalling the extension automatically removes all locally stored data.

7. Third-Party Services

My AI Curator interacts with the following third-party services to provide its core functionality:

• Bluesky (bsky.app) — to load and display social feeds
• Mastodon instances — to load and display social feeds

When you load a feed, your request goes directly from your browser to these services. We do not proxy or intercept this traffic. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for more information.

8. Children's Privacy

My AI Curator is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the extension, please contact us and we will provide guidance on removing the locally stored data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
